And to me, it is a little technical but I get it, so far it is looking promising for the help with thick saliva for folks who are undergoing treatment. So I would say something like this is definitely worth a try and if it is working for you great. I think back in 2013 when I had my rads and chemo this was not available. I would wake up from sleep at night sometimes gasping for air as the thick phlegm had cut my air off. A couple of times I had a terrible time getting it cleared again and breathing again. I thought I was going to die!

I'm not in chemoradiotherapy
I'm not in chemoradiotherapy yet but I have been having a wicked post nasal drip of thick mucous so I am using around 3 mil in a sinus rinse with a bit of colloidal silver and a couple drops of tea tree oil and the usual packet of salt and baking soda. The constant coughing and throat clearing and almost gagging is just about gone and it's only been a day and a half. It was interfering with my sleep.
If you have a strong stomach you can also take 3 mil by mouth which I'm doing in addition to the sinus rinse. Some people mix with juice so they don't taste or smell it but I just slam it and chase with coffee or whatever I'm drinking. Probably shouldn't be taken on an empty stomach and it has an unpleasant smell like rotten eggs.
What I am using is the little vials you get for use in a nebulizer. It's perfectly safe and seems to be very effective so far. I haven't been able to breathe through my nose well in weeks and this is clearing my sinuses right up.
