Interesting isn't it
The populations most likely to have Vitamin D defiency--nursing home residents, those sedentary, overweight diabetic, African American. A simple supplement could have saved lives. A cheap drug could also save lives.....but think about how much money Big Pharma would lose..https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7505114/

interestingly low vitamin D
interestingly low vitamin D is now being linked to prostate cancer . A member of my family has just been diagnosed with it and is being treated with hormone treatment then high doses of vitamin D. they will only do radiation if the hormones/vitamin D combo doesn't keep it at bay .
quite a bit of info on the internet about this .

Vitamin D
Vitamin D is very beneficial in a lot of ways. I've been taking it since my diagnosis. We live in a state where clouds are on most day so even being outside doesn't give any of us the amount that we need.

My recollection is that there are some old threads on this--I think that is the same chemical as a heartworm medication for dogs. My memory is foggy, but I think at least one or more CSN members explored it. Maybe they can fill us in if they are still on the forum. I did a quick search for old threads and was unable to find anything. It might have been a back-channel discussion.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no agreed upon explanation for why higher levels of vitamin d are potentially helpful. But, it is more than simply preventative (as with cimetidine), as it seems from my research that a high vitamin d level is one of the best contraindicators for a recurrence in cancer.

I think you are right, and it is used to treat heartworm in Doggos. Seems like it treats just about everything lol. India has been distributing Ivermectin for COVID, with success, its cheap and been around forever. It will be interesting to see if there is a reduction in Cancer rates/mortality in India in the near future.

I don't know about the rest of the US but in my state ivermectin for dogs is script now. But you can go to local feed store and get the same thing except it says for horses.

a cautionary tale
i have just had some blood tests and been told i have , for the first time ever, high calcium levels. I have since found out that this can be caused by taking to much vitamin D . i have stopped taking Vitamin d supplements (x1 tablet a day) . i assumed if i had to much i would just pee or sweat it out so i continued to take it in summer. turned out not to be a good idea.

Those are the fat soluble vitamins--ADEK --they are not flushed out through kidneys daily so one can develop high levels if overconsumed. Hope your levels return to normal soon!

Dog dewormer
Hey guys..I'll was about to post and saw this thread...I hope you all are on the way to a glorious spring! I think Joe Tippens started the dewormer craze. I studed his story and every study and detail/study I could find.about it........What everybody fails to discuss is that man ate NOTHING for an extended amout of amout..He went from 200lbs to 115lbs....surviving off strictly IV fluids for 8 weeks...NOBODY EVER discusses this!!Every human body is different and I think his cells were cleared and "jump started" if you will...I think you HAVE KNOW your body and what it will respond to.. While I think it will get rid of pararsites, I do not believe it will change the game on cancer

Joe Tippens - Fenbendazole - Ivermectin
Joe Tippens was down to 115 by before he started using this protocal (Fenbendazole). myAZ pointed out there is another anti-parasitics being looked at and there seems to be potential in some anti-parasitics. It is interesting how Fenbendazole was seen to potentially help - they used it to prevent worms in lab rats then had issues getting cancer to grow.
Fenbendazole has been studied and continued to be studied - and there was a recent study opened on going through the case logs. Right now it is anecdotal and not real data. In cancer there are remissions that are not explainable. It happens. Who knows what caused Joe's remission. Maybe it was spontaneous for whatever reason. He does not say to forgo other treatments. So this seems a low risk/high reward type thing. Risks include affecting kidneys/liver, but the dosing has to be very high. Way past what Tippens used. But even things like vitamins, as MZ mentioned and feck experienced, can cause issues.
Anyway, some information below. Would be interesting to see if anything further ever comes from this. I have read more about studies, how difficult trials are to start, etc. I think there may be things out there already which can help, but it is going to be awhile before everything can be studied.

These studies provided no evidence that fenbendazole would have value in cancer therapy, but suggested that this general class of compounds merits further investigation.

Fenbendazole acts as a moderate microtubule destabilizing agent and causes cancer cell death by modulating multiple cellular pathways

So, is a drug the cancer cure? Not likely. Fenbendazole and other benzimidazole drugs certainly have some proven anti-cancer action. This action is best described as inhibiting the progression of cancer and even killing some difficult-to-treat cancer types including melanoma, lymphoma, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and glioblastoma.

I agree on both fenbendazole and ivermectin. Trying to get ivermectin (for humans) is very hard for some reason (FDA NIH). Some dr's have been arrested and slapped on the hand for prescribing it for covid, smh.
