Climate
Diag with Stage 1 CLL in August - Still wrapping my head around things - Curious to hear of any data from studies, or even anyone's anecdotal data, re best type of climate for someone with CLL - Idea was to move to FL about this time in my life, just turned 60, but really we could move anywhere - just wondering about climate effects on daily living as well as long term affects - any info is greatly appreciated - and good luck to all on this site - Thanks

I don't have CLL (I have LGL)
I don't have CLL (I have LGL), but my understanding is that they're somewhat similar. I have found that I can't tolerate the cold like I used to ... harder for me to stay warm and it seems to tax my already limited energy. I'm based in Virginia, which doesn't have harsh winters, but can get cold and snowy; so, I try to spend 4-6 weeks of the coldest part of winter in South Carolina and have found that really helps with my energy, incidence of infections and outlook. Wishing you all the best!

Climate
I have had CLL since 9/2015 and moved to Florida in April 2017. I think it is a great place to live. One thing is the weather, but we also have an abundance of doctors who specialize in CLL. If you would like a copy of my list of 450+ specialists, send me an email: tomhenry@cllpharmacist.com and put "specialist list" as the subject.
I live just outside of Tampa, home to the #8 Cancer Center in the US - H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute. We have a local CLL support group that currently meets virtually but met on the third Saturday of each month in the past.
