Sharing the strangeness in this new covid world .
My dad has struggled with body image issues ever since he had his ostomy and urostomy bags something happened that made him happier then I have seen him in a long time . He run into a old friend who he hasn't seen in a while and she gave him a hug . Now a hug from a woman made him feel like a man again his words not mine which makes me so glad . However his friend didn't have a mask on so now of course for the next 14 days I will be watching my dad like a hawk for covid . It just summed up life in this brave new world of covid 19 how something so good and made my dad so happy is yet so dangerous to do . Part of me wanted to tell the woman wtf who hugs a cancer patient with COPD with no mask ? But my dad was so happy I couldn't I just had to enjoy the fact he was so happy again I really missed that . All in all it just got me really thinking about how much the world has changed in just a year .

So true! I really don't
So true! I really don't understand the no mask thing. I find it so hard not to go off. I have seen so many in the infusion waiting room with their masks below their noses.
And I thought I was the only one who then is anxious for 14 days. It is so crazy these days. And the thing is, if people would have worn the masks, we could have gotten this under control. The countries that are doing well, had citizens who wore masks.

Oh your not the only one anytime my dad is " exposed " I literally count the 14 days on the callender it makes me so anxious . I don't understand the big deal about wearing a mask either I have actually told no mask people in public about it . They literally go insane and want to fight me I'm like wtf if I can save anyone's life by wearing a mask I'll do it forever . I actually feel like I should have went off on my dad's friend but my dad was so happy a woman hugged him he was like a kid in a candy store . I am so ready for me and my dad to get the vaccine so many lives lost that imo didn't have to be like you said it's under control in countries where people wear masks .
