Lumps in abdomen UPDATE
On my 4 1/2 year colon cancer ct scan and 2 1/2 year kidney cancer ct scan.....they have found 2 small lumps on the right hand side of abdomen. They are only 1/2 millileter so to small to biopsy at the moment. I will be having another scan in February followed by a biopsy if they are big enough then.
This has really thrown me as I have had Ned scans for all this time.
Has anyone had or know anything about lumps in the abdomen?

Sorry
I'm not able to help you, but did they think that these might be related to the original diagnosis? You are in my prayers, that it is nothing and all will go well with your next scan.

Were the lumps palpated by hand?
Or did they show on the CT? Was anything else out of the norm like your CEA or blood cell counts? HOpe that its ok!!

Sorry CS
I am sorry to see this. Try to stay positive. At that size I am hoping it can just be a blip or a glitch in the scan. Some radiologists may report something when another will not. I have had that happen, and when going back the item had been there. There have been studies where radiologists were given 25-50 scans to look at to prepare reports. And they issued a different report on the same exact scan (there were duplicates). 1/2 mm is incredibly small. it may have been on earlier scans and just not reported. It could be variances in scans, positioning, timing of contrast.
You can ask them to go back and look at earlier scans.
Also the following have been on pretty much all my reports for 6 years (though a couple of times not reported):
HEPATOBILIARY: Hepatic cysts and too small to characterize hepatic lesions are unchanged
KIDNEYS: Unchanged too small to characterize renal lesions are unchanged. No hydronephrosis
Always a balance of trying to not worrying too much, but also being prepared for whatever may happen. Try not to let it bother for you too much. fingers crossed for you.

Thanks New. I guess that's why they want another ct scan first. I'm hoping they'll be gone by then. I also read that hernias can cause lumps in abdomen.

That is true. I can feel one of mine near my belly button. Especially when I haven't gone in a while. And I would never have even realized I had hernias if I didn't see on scan, so you wouldn't feel any adverse effects necessarily.

UPDATE
I've had a colonoscopy and ct scan now and both show no evidence of disease. I'm NED again! Thanks to everyone for your concern. I'll be talking to my oncologist on Friday and will find out if the lumps are still there and just not growing. Prayers for all fighting this awful condition!

I'm hoping those potato lumps
I'm hoping those potato lumps don't mean a thing. lol The report indicated that one of those lumps was present in 2018 and is unchanged. The other is delineated which I hope means gone. I wouldn't get to excited about what a radiologist says as this is the second read of a scan that was wrong. I'm sure they do they're best but easy to be mistaken.
Thanks for all your comments.
