Just Passed the 3-Year Mark - ALL CLEAR
Just popping in to share that I just passed the 3-year mark since my treatment ended (35 rads and chemo) for my BOT stage 3 cancer.
Keep your head up and one day it can all be behind you.
The only lingering symptom I have is occasional dry mouth that is easily relieved with a lozenge.
Looking forward to two more years of no issues and then remission.

Congratulations On A
Significant mark in your cancer journey. I am so happy for you to get to this point with an all-clear diagnosis. It looks like you came through it with flying colors and only one leftover symptom of mild dry mouth. You sir are one of the Blessed ones. Nothing better than NED wishing you many more take Care-God Bless-Russ

Congrats
Happy to hear you are doing great after 3 years. Glad you only have one small side effect left. I just had my 2 year anniversary for HPV Tonsil / lymph node cancer. I have also been blessed and the only side effect I really have is a clicking sound in my right ear from the Cisplatin. Here's to many more years of good health. Nice to hear from fellow cancer warriors on how your doing. God bless you and everyone on this site.

Thanks all. I share to give
Thanks all. I share to give others hope since we seem to see a lot of people venting about bad news. I know I'm not out of the woods, and may never truly be. But I'm blessed to be where I'm at.
I also continue to firmly believe that I came away so unscathed because of my age of diagnosis (47), early detection (even though I was stage 3), very good overall health, refusal to have surgery performed (first oncologist wanted total neck dissection and robotic surgery on my tongue), I refused a PEG and had an unwavering system of support in my wife and friends (they literally through me a happy cancer party with a cake, tongue tacos and a friend read a dirty limerick she wrote about HPV cancer).0 -
