Stage 2a colon cancer
I had a resection 11/20/20 and am on my 6/8 round of Xeloda. When do these side effects get better? I am not sure I can finish the last 2 cycles.

Doctor
You should tell your provider before the next round of treatments. You don't want to let your symptoms go where you can't handle them. Sometimes your body reacts against what treatment is called for and it's not good that you have to suffer through them. It could be there is something they can give you, or change up your protocol but make sure you let them know. Treatments are different for everyone, but your provider should always be aware of how you are feeling. Wishing you the best and let us know how things go.

Side effects
Xeloda (capecitabine) caused permanent heart damage for me. It is important that you balance the risk and the benefit of any treatment. I was 3b, and in retrospect, I wish I had not done the chemo.
