    RIP Phrannie

I haven't checked in for some time, but I was also one of the 'class of 2012' and like Tommyodavey (hey Tommy - not sure if you remember but I was a fellow MEC gang member) came on here at a fairly similar time to Phrannie. She was a feisty, upbeat, brave and interesting lady and I am incredibly sad to hear she has passed.

My impression of Phrannie was she had lived the equivalent of several lives, and that she got the most out of single every day she had on this earth, even when things were tough.

RIP Phrannie, the world is a little less bright for losing you.

    Your Back!

Leo, so good to see you posting again.  I do think about you every time another MEC member joins the forum.  There are so few of us we all need to check in regularly to see if there are any new posts with our C type.

Losing Phrannie is tough.  You and I came here almost the same time so we have similar memories of her helping posts.  She is already sorely missed.

    Take care my old friend!

    Hey Tommy

Great to hear from you too Tommy - so glad to see you active on here and it seems you are doing well. In my darkest hours your calm advice and positive support really helped me through. I will make sure I check in more regularly from now! The kids are 9 and 11 now and life is just so busy, the months and years are flying by,

Having had such bad news about Phrannie, on a more positive note there was an MEC poster on here (another Brit like me who got his diagnosis at the age of 17 - and I thought I was hard done to being diagnosed at 33!) and I had a message waiting from him when I logged in to say he's 5 years out and doing really well.

Take care mate and I'll be around more often now, looking out for any fellow MEC sufferers especially!

    Deep deep sadness

This is news nobody wants to hear. She was a warrior and never quit. After the recurrences, my worries for her kept growing. My great fear coming here is seeing posts like this. I was really hoping to visit her but just never got it together.

Here is a picture take June 2013. She was still glowing a bit; I had just finished treatment a couple weeks before meeting her as she passed through the Bay Area. She'll be missed greatly. i'm so bummed but know she's at peace.

So sad . Phrannie travelled same road as me...we started about the same time. She was so helpful, so positive. I've only just read the sad news. Condolences to her family...she was a 'goer'

    Phrannie

The news crushed Me.  She reached out to Me We exchanged phone numbers & only got to talk briefly once.  But over My past 4 yrs of this horrific battle, she was always that "Breath of Fresh Air".  She made Me smile, her Positivity was infectiou, she was an Angel.  She also unknowns taught Me a valuable lesson.  When I did not get the call back she said she would do figured she was busy.  Not knowing how sick she was.  I kept saying to Myself call her but daily life kept Me from remembering to "just do it", call her & check in but kept forgettin.  Now I have learned don't ever forget those who are there for you.  Write My post-it & remind Myself.  Fly  Free My Angel heaven just got a wonderful new angel that I know is looking down on all of Us & still helpful with all her wonderful thoughts & memories.  Love you My Breath of Fresh Air, you are so missed.

Anyone know what happened?  She sounded great on the phone.  Did her dreaded tumor come back?  I not always on the forum like I was during treatmen.  Now with all the overdose of Radiation & Chemo and so many complications, just the same old for Me.  Can't reverse the damage and after just getting more over 4 yrs not much to say that isn't negative.  I am just wondering since she would call Me next day around a certain time & I never heard from her.  Thank you for any info.

So sad to hear this news. She answered some if my posts with such postivity. Always there to give you encouragement. Many knew and loved her dearly. She will be missed. And thx donfroo for the pic. You were blessed to have met her in person. She was truly an inspiration to me. Everything she went through, and it never got her down. If it did, nobody knew. Wish I had half of her positive outlook. Tough when your physical health comprimised. She is in a better place now. Very sorry for your loss.

I had been in contact with Phrannie51 (Jackie) right before she passed away.  After that her husband Greg reached out and told me about her last days.  It looks like her immune system was weakened from her latest rounds of chemo and she got an infection that she couldn't fight off.  Greg says she went downhill very fast--in a day or two, and couldn't recover.  Very sad.

Thanks for sharing the details. Like Delnative and especially Tim/Hondo, I think her death has hit everyone who got to share the C experience with her- to get help from her and give help to her- in the heart.

    So sorry to hear this

I was part of 2012 members. Phrannie was always so helpful. Replied to my many private messages. She was ahead of me by few weeks so was able to share her experiences. Could not have survived the treatment without people like Phrannie and everyone on this group. RIP Phrannie. You will always be remembered. My prayers and condolences for the family.

    So sorry to hear this!

I am also one of the 2012 members, and Phrannie was one of the active and supportive members out there.  She was part of the memory: very caring, very detail oriented and can always find ways to share and help.  Rest in peace Phrannie, you made the world a better place.  My prayers and condolences for the family.
