Hello,, I'm new here, just got biopsied, and am trying to figure out what next.
I've been looking at the Valley Cancer Inst. in Los Angeles, I've felt hopeless for so long, in comparison this looks too good to be true,
and I'm very skeptical. Does anyone here have any experience with either hyperthermia with low radiation, or Valley Cancer Inst? I think the Mayo Clinic offers something similar, but only for stage one, and I'm way beyond that. Any info would be appreciated, and my Halloween best to all.

    Welcome, cantthink
I live in Los Angeles, but have not heard of the Valley Cancer Institute before.

The ACS has a good report on hyperthermia, which they call "largely an experimental technique," but they do give a thorough explanation and list pros and cons: http://www.cancer.org/docroot/ETO/content/ETO_1_2x_Hyperthermia.asp

I'm sorry I can't help with your specific question, but, if you need any referrals to a traditional surgeon, oncologist, or radiation center in Los Angeles, I see doctors near West Hills Hospital in the San Fernando Valley, and would highly recommend them -- private message me if you would ever like their names and phone numbers.

    Valley Cancer Institute
I am currently dealing with neck cancer and have been in contact with the Valley Cancer Institute in LA about there treatment - but it almost sounds to good to be true. Does anybody have any information on the facility? Thanks.

Neck Cancer treatment at Valley Cancer Institute
    Willy,

The best and honest advise I can give you is to watch the video interviews to the "graduate" patients at the Valley Cancer Institute, specially this one of a singer who did not want to loose his only working tool: his voice!

The Hyperthermia combined with low-dose-radiation treatment at the VCI in Los ANgeles is effective and low side effects; it can not get any better.

Tis old info ... maybe things have changed

My parent went to VCI for cancer treatment (out of desperation only).  Literature and

family member were told radiation is greatly reduced.  However, that's incorrect.  It

was minimally reduced and that's in the recds. from when this forum was posted.

I was powerless to do anything.  I would've brought my family member home to die.  Instead,

he was wrapped up and sent on a plane when he had a matter of months to finish life in a

very painful way.  We missed out on a lot of the member's life at the end and I greatly

resent that.  Based on that and the long time family member was there, I don't trust this place.

My suggestion is when a company or person makes a claim, you better check it out.  I wasn't

involved in the decision-making process or I would've.

    Good luck.
