Sorry for being away so long!
I've just been so busy with work and family and not thinking much about cancer! I feel a little guilty.
I had CT scans Tuesday and they were clean. It's the 5 year mark for me. It's been 5 years since my last tumor. I'm so happy and relieved to have made it to 5 years.
Those of you Stage 4, I want you to know that it's possible to be stable or cancer free for a long time. My met was to my adrenal gland 5 years ago. The adrenalectomy cleared me of cancer and I've been cancer free for 5 years. First tumor was 7 years ago. I was clear cell RCC. Right nephrectomy. Found in 2012.
Wishing all of you health and happiness and my heart goes out to those suffering from onging disease.
Hugs,
Todd
P.S. My granddaughter turned 2 yesterday. This is the granddaughter I thought I would never live to see 5 years ago. I've buried the hatchet with my younger son who wasn't talking to me for almost 5 years of the past 7 years. My biggest complaint these days are some serious sleep problems. They are annoying, but manageable. I had lost some weight but didn't keep it off, then lost it back but still need to lose some more. However, I'm active, working and have a happy life. I just got back from a 2 week vacation in Bangkok, Thailand and Singapore which was amazing.

Congrats on 5 years!
Thank you for sharing! When I first joined this board, your profile gave me hope- there are so mamy unknowns going in that it helps to find someone that seems to have the "same" stage grade etc. Your story was one that I could look to and feel like I might be okay. Good to know things are still going well. Thank you for the hope!!! Enjoy your family!!!
