tamoxifen and gout

Tamoxifen and gout. Does anyone know why i am having gout flare ups since taking tamoxifen? I've had it seven times in the last six months. I have had it in my hand, leg, ankle, etc. it is extremely painful.

    You have an old post - but I'm hoping you still come on this page.  I too have had terrible gout - but I've been on tamoxifen for 5 years already.  Just started this year.  What happened with yours?  Did you get meds / taken off tamoxifen??

     Bone and joint pain are considered as side effects of Tamoxifen and all people suffering from arthritis are especially affected. You need to visit your doctor regarding the side effect and he might help you with a suitable analgesic drug or if the side effects are severe then he might change your medicine.
