Preliminary List for Tribute Page
As the first step in assembling the tribute page I've gone back to the beginning of the board and found the dear ladies that we know are no longer with us. I've also started to pull together the other information for their entry on the page, but first I'd like to ask if I've missed anyone. The notice about a death may have been included in a broader thread that I didn't review.
While it was sad to revisit the threads that reported these losses, I was reminded again of the valuable contributions these women made to the board. Each journey was so unique and most of the women freely shared the good and bad with the rest of us. We're all the beneficiaries of their experiences.
I'm glad that Kathy G made the suggestion about a tribute page. These wonderful women deserve to be remembered by the rest of us and the tribute page will make that easier.
11/8/2019 - Please note that I have removed any of the members' first and last names from this list, per request from the CSN Support Team.
Per CSN, “User agrees not to disclose personal information or identifiers about other persons which violates their privacy or confidence.” We ask that you please edit and remove all first and last names on the list. You are welcome to use their CSN usernames."

cmb...thank you SO much for
cmb...thank you SO much for taking an idea and doing the work involved in creating a tribute page!
I agree these ladies along with our current warriors have been so generous in sharing their unique journeys and such a wealth of information.
While it is sad to revisit the histories I am struck by the number of women I recall who just 'disappeared.' We will probably never know if they just moved on or passed away.
That is why I am happy to have both a resource and remembrance for those interested going forward.
Again, thanks so much for all YOUR contributions here!

You're right in that I was reminded of the many women who posted for a time and then stopped. Hopefully many achieved remission and were able to move on with their lives. Some, however, probably stopped posting because their condition worsened and they didn't want to continue on the board for various reasons.
I hope it wasn't just that they were afraid their bad news would discourage others on the board still having treatment or fearing recurrence. Since uterine cancer usually strikes women past menopause, most of us have already had experience in dealing with other challenging situations and losses in our lives. So while it's never easy to read about a fellow member's difficulties, ideally this board would be a place where that woman can share what's going on with her situation and get support from those who probably better understand what she is going through than many of her family and friends.
After my diagnosis I began easing towards retirement and while I still do some client projects, I've chosen to not be as busy as I used to be. So I'm glad to have the time to work on the tribute page. Thanks for the thanks!

Thank you and a possible add on
What a great idea. There was a young man and the screen name was Tristan (I think that's the spelling), who wrote on behalf of his mom. His mom passed shortly after he started writing.
It happened to me

Thank you so much, CMB. What
Thank you so much, CMB. What a wonderful thing to do.
When I was diagnosed with UPSC in 2017, I created a file for my husband and kids so they would know about the bills, how & when they are paid, insudance info, etc. Then after being diagnosed with recurrence, I did the advanced directive. I'm thinking that maybe we should put instructions about how to post to this site somewhere for family, just in case.0 -
I believe Tiggersdobounce too. She sounded like a sweetie
Thank you CMB. You are a gem.

So adding instructions for a family member or friend to provide a final update is a very good idea. I'll include something in the final tribute page.
Personally, I've left instructions for my sister to update the board if I die before her, along with the information she'll need to settle other matters. I'll have to assign someone else should she go before me.

Making Progress
Thanks to everyone who has posted or sent me the names of those to add to the tribute page. I've been working to link the members' profile and the posts that announced their passing (when I could find this information) to a separate document that will be used to create the new tribute page.
I've also begun to include their diagnosis where their profile listed this. For others where the profile is blank, I'll try searching their posts to try to find this information.
I hope to have all the available data located and linked within the next few days.
