Hail Mary...chemo-immunotherapy last option
My Thomas had his nodule removed, but they were not able to get clear margins. Has limitations of weight and activity. At same time we noticed another nodule appearing in same area. Had PET scan and it showed multiple sights...in and around lungs but the worse is his original sight shows a BOT tumor compromising his eating and breathing. This is our last ditch effort. We immediately started 2 chemos and keytruda infusions. Have to come home with a bag and pump for the keytruda to be administered for 4 additional days at home. We go back every 3 weeks and between 2nd and 3rd treatment we will know if this is working. If not, we tackle that.
He has an amazing spirit. We will not allow our energy to be spent in a deep dark hole. He plans to go to VT for his annual softball tournament. He cant play but he can keep score and partake in his favorite sport. We also took in a Redsox game and I'll get him tix for yet another. We will continue to live until we are told we cannot.
If you pray, please say them. If you chant, please do them. If you sacrifice chickens, go ahead. We need the universe to give us a break in this journey.

Answers the question I sent to you in a private message. This is certainly not what was hoped and prayed for but as you say "We will continue to live until we are told we cannot" and that is a good way to look at it and keep forging ahead as best you can. I had you in my prayers and will continue to do so. Praying for the chemos to turn the corner for Thomas. You folks are the epitome of the saying so oft-repeated on this forum--NEGU (Never Ever Give Up) I am sure many will support you and pray for you in this difficult time and for every posting, there are many in the background. We are with you-God Bless
Check this link you will probably have to copy and paste it in your browser hoping it gives you comfort----

Thomas will be in our prayers for a full recovery. All things are possible with God. It is never too late for miracle to happen and in Thomas's case we know that miracle can happen.
Thank you Sabrina

Pclark21st,
I like your husbands spirt (and yours too).
I will pray, I may chant, I won’t sacrifice Miss Amy (my wife’s chicken) and I agree, “you deserve a break”.
Matt
Thanks Matt.

Introducing Miss Amy (just incase anybody (H&N) wanted to know)
Pclark21st,
I have spoken to Miss Amy about your suggestion of a possible “chicken sacrifice” as part of your Hail Mary to find an effective treatment for your husband’s cancer and she said “bock, bock, bock”, which translates into. “Thank you for asking, but I will (instead) join the prayer chain for your husband”. Miss Amy really is a special bird to us.
I hope your husband had a good day and I hope he was able to participate in those things he loves to do.
Prayers from Matt
