Treatment clothing

I was shopping for shoes the other day and found "treatment wear" clothing on the Zappos website under their Zappos Adaptive line. I was fascinated; maybe there's a lot of stuff out there like this and I just didn't know about it? Since I generally wear pullover shirts, chemo-day clothes can be a challenge for me but this looks like an interesting solution. I think I'll have to try one for myself...have any of you seen this type of thing? If so, any feedback ?

    Comfy Chemo

This is what I use:  https://www.comfychemo.com

Like you, I mostly wear pullovers so I didn't want to stretch out the necks.  Saves trying to decide what to wear for chemo, and now for port flush trips.  Not as unobtrusive as the Zappo's one, since the Comfy Chemo zippers are contrasting colors.

Oh, and the customer service was great.  My treatment plan got rearranged and chemo scheduled sooner, and they shipped it really fast so I had it in time for the first treatment.

    Chemo clothing

I didn't know there was clothing designed to facilitate chemo delivery through a port, although I probably should have realized that somebody would have this. I ended up buying a couple of long-sleeved fleece jackets with snap fronts from Haband. https://www.haband.com/

Since they weren't the type of top I would normally wear, I bought a couple that were on clearance. My infusions were during the winter and the chemo room was kept a bit cold, so the fleece was really comfortable. The nurse commented how easy they were to work with.

I didn't keep them after treatment because the clearance sale colors didn't really suit me, but they were still in good shape when I donated them to Goodwill.

Thank you for posting this, I'd not heard of them but will definitely check it out; they're about 1/2 the price of the Zappos model.

I used, and still use, a large button front men's shirt, that belonged to my husband.  He says he wants to burn it as soon as my infusions are done!

Eddie Bauer V neck T shirts

Gosh I just picked up a few long sleeved coloured V neck t shirts from Sam's club and they have worked out fine. Plus they are cheap.....$7 or so!!!! I also have the short sleeve for hot days and if I get cold the girls give me a nice warm blanket. xoxo

    Location of port

For some people the location of the port might impact their choice of clothing, too.   Evidently mine is a little lower than some, which led the chemo nurses to correctly guess the surgeon's office who did mine!

But zsazsa1, even if he burns that shirt, you'll still need to go in for port flushes as long as you have the port, so hang on to something you can wear for that!
