hard bowel movement. Bleeding from incision

in Anal Cancer #1

I'm 11 months out from treatment. I had a hard bowel moment this past Sunday morning, incision bleeding. Scared me.

Bleeding stoped, but bum is sore and angry. I talked to my Doctors (surgeon) nurse. I go in on Friday to be checked. I recently started a 

part time job, already have missed two days. UGH I pray the cancer is not back, I'm sure I ripped it open from hard stool. Anyone have this problem. I've been doing sitz baths and using aquafor.

    It is scary to have bleeding. But it sounds like there is a good explanation for it. Keep us updated on your doctor’s visit.

    This happened to me numerous times during the first year or two after treatment.  The area is very friable and prone to bleeding.  It's good, though, that you are getting checked out by your doctor and I hope it's nothing serious.
