    WOW

I know this is old but I can't believe no one responded. I got no replies to any of my posts either. I thought this was a place to find support. I hope all is well with you. I know how it feels to be alone. All my "support" has faded away. When I was first diagnosed, everyone rallied around me, But as soon as I went into remission....POOF....they were gone. Like I was "all better". I have more health issues now from the radiation and chemo tahn I did with cancer lol. Please feel free to reply, I am looking to find people to talk to here as well. Unless someone has been through it, they don't understand. I'm tired of  trying to explain what is going on to people who just don't get it.

    Hi Kat.

    Hi Kat.

I TOTALLY get what you are saying.

I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2010.  Had the TURBT and 4 years of BCG.  It took another year for my bladder to heal from the treatment.  Over time, people just seem to fade away - its like they were bored with me and my cancer recovery.  Here it is, 2019 and I've been diagnosed with stage 1b grade 3 endometrial cancer (No relation).  I did 5 weeks of radiation and am still just wiped out with fatigue.  My own family thinks i should be "all better" because I had the surgery and treatment, and the cancer is gone, right?  Just get over it, already.

They freak out when I try to talk about my fear of another cancer.  They don't seem to understand the absolute terror I go through when I try to look at my future.  I have an appt with a geneticist in August to learn the reality of what I am at risk for.

Sometimes, I just feel so alone.  I'm really glad to meet you and talk about what we both understand to be true.

It takes a while to get over

It takes a while to get over the fatigue. It is hard for people to understand.  It took me months to feel better. I finally did, but it took some medicine and time to help me get back to normal.

    Husband Had Bladder Cancer

My husband had bladder cancer., He went through chemotherapy for 12 treatments over a 4 month period. The cancer was gone but the doctor said that it would probably reoccur so he had surgery and now has a neo bladder. My question is the doctor said that he was to use a different bathroom than me for the 1st few days after his chemo treatment. But you know what he did he went and used my toothbrush, which to me in my mind would be bad. Would this affect me at all? As now 3 years later my teeth have no enamel on them now. Would this affect my teeth or is it just in my mind?

Oh me, oh my, no one on here for so long!!!! I did not feel any support in my panic moments from here.  It made me more anxious!

I am on the BC discussion board and went to Smart Patients website.  Those people rock.   You all need to go there and find out what is going on.

    Hugs and prayers,

    Annie
