Hello Ladies,

Hope everyone is having a nice Monday so far and had a pleasent Mother's day weekend...: )

I'm a member of the Uterine Cancer discussion board - Currently in remission with Stage 1 , Grade 1 Endometrial Cancer for approximately 1.5 years in...

I was at my gyno oncologist last week for my every 3 month check up appointment and mentioned that I am having significant amount of left breast pain from my nipple to the back of breast ( if that makes sense...sorry) and also burning sensations. I had a complete hysterectomy along with the removal of both ovaries and tubes back in December 2017 due to the endometrial adenocarcinoma. I am not on any HRT due to the cancer I was dx with and it would not be a good idea as per discussion with my oncologist. Since I am in surgical menopause is this common to have such pain and burning ? I had a 3D mam, back last fall and it came up negative , however it was suggested due to extreme density to have a fast MRI done.

My question did any of you ladies experience this prior to getting dx? There is no history of breast cancer in my family with exception of a great aunt of my Dad's side. I am the first in the family to have cancer, and was confirmed through genetic testing I have Lynch Syndrome, a genetic mutation to getting certain cancers, Endometrial being one of them, along with colon, liver , small bowel etc. However breast cancer is not on that list with regards to Lynch. Also, I am BCRA negative.

The concern is...I have heard from other survivors, patients that there is a link with endometrial and breast cancer. Breast cancer being a common secondary cancer after endometrial.

Any advice, thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Elena : )

    Calliegirl, I had to read

Calliegirl, I had to read your post a few times, because your story is so similar to mine. I had uterine cancer about a year and a half ago, total hysterectomy and chemo and radiation, but now there's a looming issue with my left breast and I am very worried. Multiple mammograms haven't showed much, but an ultrasound and MRI did yield "something, but we just don't know what it is". I have not had the specific tests you have, and I see a breast doctor next week and my oncologist has ordered a biopsy in a couple weeks. I'm having a fair amount of pain now. I definitely understand your concerns. I'll be thinking of you. I wish us both the best!
