    My psychiatrist (I started

    My psychiatrist (I started seeing her after my radical hysterectomy a year ago for effexor to help with hot flashes, I no longer need effexor) recommened cymbalta for neuropain, I have it at my incision site.  She also prescribed klonopin at night for rest.  I take both of these meds together at night and I sleep very well.

    Thank you for this information DMK. I will talk to my doctor when I see him next month. The past couple of nights have been pretty good with the pain but that seems to be the pattern - a few good nights followed by some very painful ones.

    Sleep!

    I haven't had a good night's sleep without a sleep aid in over ten years.  I'm not sure what happened, because I used to be a world-class sleeper.  My thyroid doc diagnosed me with fibromyalgia and said the most important thing was restorative sleep, so he prescribed ambien.  I've taken it ever since.  I worried about that until I was diagnosed with cancer, and now the sleep is a sweet relief.
