how bad is herceptin alone, in terms of side effects?

Hopping over from another board.  I'm now going to be on Herceptin alone, after having completed nastier chemo.  How bad are the side effects from Herceptin alone?  I've only ever had it together with Taxol and Carboplatin, which are both kind of rough.

    Hi ZsaZsa,

    I had no trouble with herceptin alone. If I remember it correctly I was on it for a little less than a year. It was a picnic compared to the A/C chemo I received. Another nice part was that my hair grew back so that by the time I was finished I looked somewhat normal again. My hope for you is that Hereceptin will be easy for you. Smile

    Herceptin alone

    Hello.  I am a new CSN user who has been on Herceptin alone for about a year and a half now.  I find the side effects to be minimal - mostly just a little tired after infusion every 3 weeks.  I hope you will find it to be the same for you.  I feel so fortunate that out of all the nasty drugs I have been left with a fairly gentle one.  My onc sends me for an ECHO every 3 months as a matter of course.
