Surgery #5 tomorrow
Clear liquids and the joy of bowel prep today, in anticipation of my surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering tomorrow. Hopefully, all will be straightforward, and I'll be home in a week. Doing my best to keep busy today!
Hoping that this recurrence is the last one, and he can close me up for good! (I begged for a zipper, but he refused!)
I'll post when I'm able,
Alice

Hey Songbird, you know what time it is don't you?
It's time to haul out your trusty octopuss, that's what time it is. He must be getting awfully annoyed with you hoping from OR to OR, we both know you do this for the attention, hoping some handsome, dashing young resident like me will will stop by and examine your stitches, well who can blame you, I've seen my reflection. Love your zipper concept it makes more sense then velcro, although I wouldn't rule out buttons because it gives the term "button up" an entirley new meaning. In fact I'm stealing this idea, making millions and leaving you in the lurch.
But before I jet off to someplace glamerous like Paramus, please know I wish you the easiest time, the finest absolute best results and a full and effortless recovery. Enjoy that bowel prep, yum! I have a glass chilling in my freezer as I type this, so cheers kiddo you'll do great and I and so many others will be keeping you in our thoughts. Peter

Surgery was short (3ish hours) and I've been feeling good since I got to the PACU. Minimal pain, good spirits , and tumor is out. Had minor a resection of my small intestine, but all looks good.

Marvelous to see you so soon and to hear that all went so well.
May the recovery period continue to be easy and swift.
Hugs,
