RCC back
After 2 years 3 months and CT scans every 3 months of being cancer free, its back! Just found out Wednsday on my birthday the 24th I now have a 12mm lesion on my liver. I have an appt with my oncologist on the 29th, she knows nothing about this as of yet, only my PCP. Any ideas of what I will be going through now? Surgery or medications? If medication, can someone tell me what is working, are there side effects, I need to contine working? Thank you for your input.

Some information for you
The Smart Patients board has alot of RCC patients who have had liver mets. There are a number of ways the oncologists get rid of them, and a great number of new and effective medicines to take care of it. Smart Patients can get you names of kidney cancer specialists in your area, and also give you more info on the treatment for liver mets and also the proper medications to look into-and their side effects. I hope this info helps you and I wish you all good luck in future months in moving forward and getting healthy again.
