Colonoscopy

When I saw my colorectal surgeon in August, she insisted that I have a colonoscopy, since it had been 5 years.  She allowed me to wait until after my insurance changed on October 1st., so that I would have better benefits.  Well, today was the day.  Everything went fine and nothing of concern was found, even in my anal canal.  I guess I can NOW officially call myself a 10-year survivor of anal cancer.

    Yay for the official good report! I am so happy for you to have hit the 10 year mark on this journey. While I know there have been some other (related or not) small bumps in the road, you have so far not let that stop you and the encouragement you share with others is so important.

    Thank you for always being not only a wealth of information and support, but also a friend.

    I wish you multiple more 10 year celebrations of health!

    katheryn, thank you so much for your kind words!  I appreciate that so very much.  I am so happy to be alive and well (at least my version of well, haha!) after 10 years.  Thank you for your ongoing support and your friendship--and all that you contribute to the discussions here.  I know you have helped so many people who are on this journey!  Big hugs to you, my friend!
