Pain.
Hello All, Has anyone else developed pain to hand and shoulder joints post Chemo/Rad treatment? I am about 2 yrs out of 7 Rads/36 Chemo Txs. I am a gym rat so I think that the more I lift and exercise the better the pain will be relieved. It is not happening. I am just curious if anyone has this pain. If not I guess I am on going have fignure out a new plan.

I'm about 18 months out...
Post left neck disection/TORS/Radiation... I have nagging ache/pain in my left shoulder... I had done PT shortly after treatment as I had limited range of motion in my left arm, couldn't really raise it above my head and it worked wonders. Back to full range and maybe 90-95% strength... But I do have days where it gets aggravated and hurts a bit. I've not pursued additional PT or anything at this point and am also trying to lift weights and such on my own to "work through it".
No hand pain to go with it though.

My husband is also post left neck dissection/TORS and is getting ready to start the radiation. He has the ache/pain in his left shoulder, left back.

Two years post, I have
Two years post, I have intermittent pain and numbness in my neck on the side that got hit with rad. It started out in just the area that got burned but now radiates over the whole right side of my face (my turmor was on my right tonsil), but mostly my jaw. It comes and goes but is there today. It's not heavy, but I know it's there. Things get tight enough that eating something like a thick sandwich is tough because my jaw doesn't like to open. Weather here has started to turn cool, so I will probably start wearing scarfs every day as keeping it warm seems to help. Massage also helps, and my lymphedema is back today and that also gets the massage.
I can't say for sure as this has been part of a periodic cycle for a while, but I bought DW and me ebikes a month ago and have been logging lots of miles, basically replaced the car and the motorcycle for local trips. As exercise has increased, so has my jaw tightness. Seems perverse, but I am now also struggling to keep weight OFF; increased regular exercise seems to have added two permanent pounds. I'm sort of convinced that things are setting up for their final forms, the med types don't have magic solutions and I want to avoid drugs, so my jaw will hurt some days when I exercise, and I will wear scarfs during the cold season.
