 I am so very sorry you are going through all of these gynecological issues. The not knowing is hard.

The physician note is fairly vague. Remember that less than 10% probability that you actually have cancer.  That seems a small comfort but it is something to focus on until you actualy get a phone call from the doctors office telling you if actualky have cancer.  

I pray you get some other diagnosis other than cancer.

May you find some comfort in reaching out to the women on this discussion board who have experienced all that you are going through now. We understand and are here fir you no matter what.  Please let us know what you are diagnosed with. If you do have cancer we are here to support in many ways. 

So dear one I hope that you get your pathology report soon and pray you do not have cancer.

The ladies who posted above are right about the waiting to be the worst part! However, a D&C is pretty accurate...almost, but not as good as a hysterectomy. Hopefully if you have not heard anything yet you will in the next day or two...

If it is cancer you will have a great support base with the ladies on this board. They are very caring and very educated about all things related to uterine cancer.

Come back & let us know your results or just to vent or ask questions.

Thank you, Kathy. The support is very much appreciated. I’m terrified and praying that my docs suspicions are incorrect.

I’m hoping I will hear somethin, too. I called again yesterday to inquire and the nurse indicated that the doctor has received the results, but was with patients all day. I explained to her how upset I was and she said that pathology had not marked the results “red” so they can’t be that bad. While that gave me some hope, I’m not fee trusting and don’t really know what that means. Thank you for the support!! While I love my doctor, I don’t think she understands how anxiety inducing this process is for patients...

I just heard from my doctor. It’s Grade 1 endometrioid carcinoma. I have an appointment on Tuesday with an oncologist. I’m terrified and devastated. I don’t really know what to do.

I am sorry that you have been diagnosis.  I have to tell you waiting is the hardest part.  The good news is that it is Grade 1.  I got my diagnosis on January 1 and was also petrified.  I was also Grade 1.  I had a complete hysterectomy by robotics on January 29.  I don't require any chemo or radiation because of the grade and stage - grade 1/stage 1.  You won't know the stage until after the hysterectomy but it sounds like they caught it early.  I just had my 6 months checkup and all is good and I feel great!

I was really worried about the hysterectomy but it was much easier than anticipated - the mind can play a lot of what-if games - try not to go there in the meantime.  Make sure your oncologist is a gyno/oncologist to take notes because your mind will be whirling.  If you have question please come back and ask.  These ladies provided me with such practical suggestions that made this journey much easier.

Glad to hear the hysterectomy wasn’t too awful for you and it sounds like you’re doing well - which is hopeful!

Ok, so now you know and you can get to work on a plan!  Just breathe a minute.  The good news is that Grade 1 is the least aggressive.  The good news is that endometrioid endometrial adenocarcinoma is the least aggressive and most common of uterine cancers.  The good news is that you are seeing a gyn-oncologist, who specializes in the treatment of these cancers.  The good news is that you may be able to have a robotic hysterectomy, which is the least aggressive surgery, and is usually an easy recovery.  The good news is that if you are Stage IA along with that Grade 1, you may not even need further treatment.  The good news is that if you do need further treatment, there are good options and you have a whole sisterhood of women here who can support you through it - and you will get through it.  We all did!  You mentioned that you don't know what to do.  All you need to do at this point is to make a list of questions for your gyn-oncologist appointment.  Research him/her, and decide if you want a second opinion.  Choose that surgeon and then go to your appointment.  You're going to be ok!

Thank you. It’s all fresh and terrifying. I reached out to close family and friends today. We will wait until the gyn oncologist appt next week to tell the kids. I very much appreciate the support and wisdom.
