11 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Tomorrow's a busy day for me so I'll leave this here now, 11 years have past since I wrecked my wife's birthday fun with a diagnosis neither of us really saw coming. Tomorrow I'll put her ashes in the columbarium at the cemetery, toast her birthday with some of the kids, and move on with my life. I'm four years NED from the last surgery [Sep. 6], so with our anniversary on Sep. 1, this month represents a pretty meloncholy time for me. I share the moment to note it and give whatever hope others might want to take from my current status. If confused by details or the lack of, click my name. I also wanted to show-off my newest tats for some of the veterens here. I mentioned years ago that I was going to get cancer ribbons and a big "F*** Cancer on my arm, at some point, though until I get help making the pic bigger, you may have to trust that's what is says. For the newer folk, the lower flamingo in the blue heart reads "Forever in my Heart" which is about Cindy as she collected flamingo stuff, and the family uses it to symbolize her in keepsakes and tattoos. It's been a rocky road to travel, but I'm mostly happy to be here and seeking the things life still has to offer. My very best hopes to and for the rest of you here, this place made it much more bearable ...................................................Dave

So happy for you
Thanks for continuing to share words of wisdom, input and for continuing to inspire us who are still in the early years of battle. May we celebrate another 11 years and 11 years more with you!

Cyber love
You have been through so much, and I am happy for your continued NED, though sad for that your darling wife isn't by your side to celebrate. She is forever in your heart, and no doubt, closer in spirit that you know.
Tomorrow will be a special day. I'll be thinking of you.

Surviving survival is not easy
If it was only cancer it would be hard enough but surviving everything else the life throws at us as well as the cancer is what it means to be a surviovor. Giving up is no easier than surviving. I am glad you have made it to 11 years. Continue to enjoy some of the things that make life worth living and above all I wish you good health. Ron.
