Question post nephrectomy

I had my right kidney removed April 17, 2018 (stage 1 RCC) and have been recently having a lot of cramping and pain in the area where my kidney was.  I had my 3 month check at the beginning of August and my labwork and abdominal ultrasound came back normal.  Has anyone had this happen?

Thanks!

    4 months out

    Dweebs.

At 5 months out soreness and still some pain is nomal.  Cramping not so much. Have it checked out by not only your surgeonm but your GP as well as it could be other issues.

    Follow up

Agree with Iceman.  It's most likely just postop aches.  However, it's been 6 months almost since surgery and I think you could request chest, abdomen and pelvic scans at this point in time.

    I had a radical nephrectomy

I had a radical nephrectomy in 2003 and I still feel the nerve damage.

    Takes time

You just underwent a pretty significant surgery.  Give your body time to heal.  It will take several months for you to feel back to "normal".

    Dr. Appt

I ended up going to see my family Dr. and he put me on prednisone for two weeks.  He thinks that it is inflammation....I am going in for a recheck on Tuesday as I don't really feel any better.  I do need to realize that my surgery was major and i need to allow myself time to "get back to normal".

    thank you guys for everything!
