    Is your

alkaline Phosphatase high as well? It’s not uncommon for the level to go up with chemo, if the bilirubin isn’t elevated that’s actually a good thing.

    thanks Ruth

Bilirubin is fine--thanks for your input, the oncology nurse seemed worried by I had skipped one cycle of chemo for infected port removal reinsertion and all lab work bounced back to normal, this was my lab draw oafter 2 cycles Folfox and the liver damage labs zoomed up a bit so sure its chemo --going to hold on to that being a sign chemo is working!

    Hey myAZmountain

Chemo can most certainly cause elevated liver numbers.  My situation was a bit different than yours since I was getting liver directed chemo via an HAI pump.  But my numbers shot up so high after the second round that I had to skip round three.  In fact, I was violently ill for about 10 days.  I thought it was a stomach virus, but my oncologist believes it was a result of my liver numbers being so high.  Give it time and the numbers usually come back down to normal.
