Symptoms or paranoia
Hello all,
This is my first time posting on any sort of forum, so I'm sorry if I'm posting this to the wrong area. I'm 42 and I finished chemotherapy for stage 3b CRC with 6 of 20 lymphnodes positive for cancer 1 year ago. Most recent PET scans (Dec.) showed 2 small (>1cm) lesions in the lung and a 6x10cm heterogeneity involving the right lobe of the liver. Oncologyst didn't seem too concerned with either. Over the last 3 months or so I've been feeling overly full, even if I don't eat much. I've put on about 7 pounds in the last couple of weeks, which isn't a lot, but my weight hasn't really changed at all in the last 10 years. Also, with within the last 2 weeks, I've developed a nagging pain between my shoulderblades and in my lower back. Has anyone experienced these types of symptoms? I had a blood panel done, but my CEA was normal- even when I was first diagnosed with cancer.

Hi JTZ
I've experienced those symptoms and for me the feeling full was due to consitpation, caused by blocked colon from tumor. Any constipation can cause that feeling of being overly full because the food has nowhere to go. My 17 year old grandson was throwing up from being constipated, so that's how backed up he was.
The pain that goes to shoulder blades can be caused by gallbladder problems. It sounds strange I know, but it is actually one of the symptons of gallbladder problems.
You definitely should see a doctor and get diagnosed and treated for both of these problems. It's not only miserable but also can lead to more serious issues if it is bowel obstruction or gallbladder.
Good luck to you!

Welcome
Welcome to the board and wish you would have found us sooner. It's better to have someone "along for the ride" than trying to go through it alone. The full feeling could be caused by the constipation like Joan mentioned or something less significant but it would be better to let your doctor know about it. Any ache or pain now sends all of us into a panic, but I've tried to just tell myself it's better to let the doctor know than not say anything at all. Best to get it checked out. Let us know if you have anymore questions. Hope you feel better.
