Can depression be an early sign of cancer?
This series is my new obsession. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/18/magazine/it-looked-like-a-familiar-case-of-depression-but-could-it-be-something-else.html
Do you remember being depressed prior to getting your diagnosis?

Depression
I didn't read the article. I only had a bout of depression when my world caved in when my mom had a tia, and my dad had a brain aneurysm burst within 9 months of each other. I was on anti-depressants for about 2 years. That was 5 years before my diagnosis. I know that an immune system that is suppressed or compromised is better for cancer to grow than a healthy one is. Although, I also know that cancer is no respector of persons. It doesn't care who you are or what your social status is or where you live or any of that. I was the healthiest eater in my family and I exercised more than the others (although, that wasn't much) and I am the one who got cancer. Don't obsess SF73. Refocus your thinking. That's what I have to do when I start to obsess about something. Becareful where you get your information too. I don't trust most news/media sites. Jeanette

I sure wasn't depressed. I
I sure wasn't depressed. I probably was the happiest I had been in my life. Or, maybe now I'm the happiest?
Love,

You know i was thinking about
You know i was thinking about that a little since my recent diagnosis of the skin cancer (by the way both spots are all clear now). I have know idea why this one showed up. I agree alot with Itcouldhappentome. I think ive mentioned before that i have had cancer three times know and very few other family members have had it. No emmidiate family from parents down. Just an uncle and grandparents. I was the one that probably tanned the least while growing up. I had gone swimming alot with my kids for a few summers in a row. Not in the last rwo years though. Who really knows. But i do have to admit that i wasnt in a very healthy marriage while i must have developed my uterine cancer. I seperated from my husband and then found it. My doctors did tell me it was csused by the radiation given to me while treating my first cancer 25 years ago. I believe that is very likely because i did have alot of radiation for my stage 4 hodgkins desease. But i still think about the stress being a reason. Who really knows. Im going to ask my god one day.
I like this thread though. Thanks for sharing.
