blast from the past...
Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a great day, feeling well and happy! I haven't been on here for what seems like forever! I had major computer problmes at one point and it gave me all kinds of problems getting on to the site. Anyhow, I'd love to hear how you all are doing. I personally just got my 5 year scans about 2 months ago and happy to report NED!!
I want to know how all of you are doing??
I sadly just had to give the info for this site to another person who was just recently diagnosed, I HATE THIS STUPID DISEASE!! I hope that he will join and get the awesome support that you all gave me when I so very desperatly needed it. He is actually a husband of someone that my sister works with so I don't know him personally but I just know that he will be so welcomed and supported here.
Looking forward to hearing from you all!
Billie

Matt, so good to hear fromCivilMatt said:I remeber you
Well Billie,
I responded to you on my 6 year NED site and I will drop a line in here also. Let’s see after you left and sought out a new computer I continued my new normal lifestyle with new foods, slower eating, chew, chew, chew, drink, swallow, drink, swallow. Everyone is finished eating, but me, but I have gotten used to it and now on occasion take a smaller portion and finish along with the others. But I have been known to hang at a good family food festival and enjoy the eating as long as I want. I often feel more at home with family.
I do like ice cream and the DQ Peanut Buster Parfait is high on my list as is a Cookie Dough Blizzard (I only started liking Cookie Dough ice cream after rads). The last one I had the girl put in a full Blizzard cup of cookie dough pieces, there must have been easily over 50 pieces.
Some of our friends are still on here, many will see your post, many are on FB, but there are some I am not sure of their status (some I do) and now you have been accounted for and will not be counted in the Roll Call MIA list (I never put one together like HAWVET used to do), but I will gladly put you in the next update of ROLLCALL 2018 if you respond.
It is nice and terrible that we know of the H&N Forum. Cancer paid a bad visit to each of us. I always hope that we help the uninitiated make their way over the first hurdles and then away they go.
Now I must go before I drive you to breaking your computer for another 5 years.
Good night.
Matt
Matt, so good to hear from you and I am thrilled you are doing well. I recently (3 weeks ago) went in for esophageal dilation to help with the swallowing and let me tell you, it worked! I will need a follow up dilation but it has made things so much easier! My DR wanted to wait until I was 5 years before doing anything to that area and wow I’m so glad I did it! May be an option for you?
I will join of course! I love being back in the game! Where will I see the invite?
