What would you do?

Hi everyone, hope all is well with all of you. I could sure use some help so I'm posting in hopes of some input. 8 Yrs. ago I was dx. with nsclc. Prior to my diagnosis I had a very close frienship with a girlfriend whom I thought of as the sister I never had, we were close friends for 14 Yrs. She ended up getting married and moved out of state, and I did too. Life happened so they say.  I just got an e-mail from her said she wants to catch up, my struggle is if I should just let things be, or if I should tell her about the cancer. I am hesitant as this is what happened to me when I was first diagnosed, I lost all my friends. I also dont wish to worry her or start our friendship back up on such a sad note. What would you do? Please help.

Only way to have a solid relationship is to be honest

Any relationship started on a lie/omission is saying you don't trust them enough to handle it or to just share it with them. That's my 2 cents.

Why would you not tell her,

Why would you not tell her, and why would you not get in touch with her?
