in Kidney Cancer #1

My son just had his 6th year scans for renal cell chromophobe T1a. All has been well. His urologist told him he was done with yearly scans and tests. Have most you you with a stage 1 been followed longer?

    That's a good question, ginger.  I'm not there yet, but I'm curious about the responses.  My question, did they ever go to US rather than CT during those 6 years?

    Yes, 3 years ago  they started ultrasound instead of the CT. It's not because of insurance, Urologist said this is the standard.

    I am on US

    I am 15 1/2 years out and get US yearly probably becaus of a small cyst in the other kidney that they just watch. Each case is different.
