    I see him in 2 weeks. Am feeling very strong and hope to work out a chemo schedule. It's time to try it again. I think I will tolerate it well at this point. Am going to ask for Avastin and no Oxylaplatin. Just read Radical Remission which I found very inspiring. Gave me many more ideas of things I can try on my own too. Staying positive!

    It’s your body

    and your choice. My husband did 5fu, irinotecan (one treatment and got pancreatitis so he will not take it again), Avastin, and oxaliplatin. The oxy part was fine for the first few treatments but as you know it gets worse as it goes on. However he said it wasn’t the worst thing ever, once the tingling did not subside by the next week he made her stop. He got 8 at full dose, 9 at a half and the last two were without it. The inability to drink cold things at first was a few days then about a week. Also, the cold sensitivity was worse because it was winter in Connecticut.  However the minute he just went to 5fu & Avastin his tumors did not shrink and were only stable. 

    I am not telling you this to try and change your mind just giving you information, I always like to know as much as I can.

    No, I know that everyone's particular CRC is different. Or we fall into different categories. Mine wasn't responsive to chemo and radiation pre-surgery, so I'm a bit skeptical that it will be effective now. But I'm willing to try it for 3 months or whatever the Onc recommends. Hopeful I can still work and enjoy life. Still working on lots of natural things too. After all, chemo kills, so I will work on boosting my immunity as well. 

    Praying the pump works for your dh! -Beth
