UPDATE ON COLONOSCOPY.
We‘re driving home. No sign of cancer. Lots of exposed blood vessels. Likely caused by radiation treatments for testicular cancer. The doctor said it is very likely that a hard stool could rupture one or more of these blood vessels. She is recommending stool softener.
Scary stuff, I've had the bloody discharge a couple times and it messes with your head. I took calcium and dark greens to boost my clotting factor, stopped the baby aspirin for a bit, and it went away. Glad your clear and clued in on what might be causing it. Do any of us not stare into the bowl and ponder size, color, and density as clues or signs. I can't imagine trying to explain to my younger self that these are things we can wind up focussing on later in life. Does younger me even want to know? Maybe.............................................Dave

That's great news (relatively). Good to know that it isn't cancer - but it sounds like you have one or two things to fix.
