Rolling out the pink bus for Mary

Hi Everyone

Let's get on the bus tomorrow for Mary. She will be having surgery and I want her to know that we will be with her in spirit. Let's fill the bus with love and positivity. In the past we would bring (virtual)food and drinks  to share along the way.  I'll be the DJ so let me know what songs you'd like to hear . My choices are " This is me" by Keala Settle and "I Look to you" by Whitney Houston. I chose these two songs help her gear up for the surgery and treatment.  What songs do you think we should put on the playlist? Love Surf

    The Pink Bus

    It has been a while since the Bus has left the garage! If you can pick me up in San Francisco I will be waiting with some Ghirardelli chocolate. Since you are going to be the DJ, I think we should add "Don't Worry Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin.

    The Pink Bus Explained

    The Pink Bus is a virtual school bus that can be called upon when any of us are in need of support for a surgery or any procedure related to cancer. It can pick up passengers anywhere in the country. It can get pretty rowdy. Usually the passengers bring food and beverages along for the trip.

    I remember sitting in the pre-surgical waiting room and picturing the Bus pulling up in the hospital parking lot with all the ladies (And gentlemen) hanging out of the windows yelling their support and best wishes. It brought a smile to my face on an otherwise dreadful day. Let's continue to offer this support to others dealing with breast cancer.

    Hopping on the bus!

    Mary, we are all riding with you. I request the Rocky theme song. You are strong and you will be well once you get through this journey. God is with us on the bus and never forget that!

    Since we just had our Spring storm and there is still plenty of "white stuff" around, I'll bring snowcones!!!!!!  WAWA coffee for those who would rather warm up on the bus.  Let's add "Your Love Is Lifting Me Higher."  Thanks for the invite!

    I'm down here in Carlsbad, but I can meet you halfway somewhere!! I'm kinda drawing a blank on songs at the moment, probably because I was busy baking brownies for all of you. That's what I usually bring on the pink bus and nobody really knows what's in them...

    Surgery on Monday, March 26, 2018

    Are there any pink buses available for this Monday? I am finally having bilateral DIEP flap breast reconstruction surgery on Monday at 7:30 a.m. CST. It is a ten hour surgery. I completely trust my surgeon and his team but prayers are always welcome, thanks!
