chemo-eyes?

hey ladies,
I am seeing my Oncologist tomorrow, so I will ask him, but I thought I'd see if anyone has heard of or experienced what I have lately. I am on 2 chemos (Taxol and Herceptin)doing very well, but twice in the last month or so I have had a small area in the cornea of the right eye just next to the pupil which appears to be bleeding internally. You know, in a normal "blood shot" eye, the redness is in the form of lines. This seems to be a small circle (about the size of 3 pinheads)as though a tiny blood vessel might have burst. It just appeared one day after I had been upset and crying the night before. No pain or blurred vision, and it faded away in 2-3 days, then came back again this week (again I was crying...seem to do that more easily on chemo...Doc says it's a side effect). Anyone else have anything like it?

    I got a bloodshot eye after exercising too hard, too fast. It, too, went away...

    I also got 'floaties' and distorted vision. Again, usually when I was stressed or doing too much.

    Rest as often as you can...and think happy thoughts...go have a massage!

    Seof, YES I had blood in my eye twice during chemo, waited for the nurse to come give me my shot of Nupregena and asked her what it meant, she said it happens to people on chemo. I thought "what now" do I have to endure, but went to dr and it went away, BUT if I were you I'd see my family physician in the am and have them check it out for you, since 'everyone is different' this is for your information.

    I never had my eyes look bloodshot particularly, but they did water and hurt most of the time. I ended up getting mild cataracts from the Chemo but nothing that changing my prescription a little more frequently wouldn't fix.

    I did not have the blood-shot eyes, but my vision was not as acute during chemo, and they also watered like Crazy! That was discouraging, because I was so pale from the chemo that I wanted to at least wear eye-make up when I went out. But I looked like a Raccoon~the watery eyes made anything on my eyes run. Great look, you can imagine!
    I cried too during chemo. Yes, it is a side effect, but not just from the chemo. It is cumulative fatigue, pent up fear, faking how wonderfully we are doing to all those who look to us for a great, positive attitude....you know the routine! It all does fade away into the background of our lives, and we get on with the business of living. But this chemo regimine is not for wimps, that's for sure!
    I know you will probably have seen your Onco doc by the time you read this. I hope your mind and heart will be put at ease.
    Let us know what the doctor says!

    chenheart, boy you described chemo perfectly. The sleeples nights walking the floor, feeling sorry for ourselves....but like you said, there comes a point where we take "control" and do what's best for us, get lots of rest and let friends help us....and keep that 'positive attitude' throughout treatments. Live life the best we can...what else can anyone ask of us eh!

    bloody eye

    I know this thread was first written a long time ago.  I am having chemo.  I have a bloody place outer corner in white of right eye.  I was not overy concerned but call oncology office to see if this is part of chemo.  Nurse called back said if I had eye problem to see eye dr.   I had just had eye exam that included eye pressure.  I just wanted to know when something changes is part of chemo. I appreciate all of you that post changes in your body and mind so we lateer people can have hope you got through it so will we..  thank you

    Floaties

    After chemo I had really bad floaties, now it mostly in my left eye. My optometrist couldn't get my eyes 20/20. Him & my Oncologist said it would go away - after a year it has not. The floaties get in the way of my seeing.
