possible metastasis to the bone
Hello. I went to the dentist for a routine check up and he did panoramic x-rays. An unusual spot was found in my spine in the neck area. He had never seen anything like it and sent it to a dental colleague for a second opinion. I have been experiencing pain in my neck for the past 2-3 days that I thought was muscle pain, but now I'm not so sure. I was treated for thyroid cancer in 1994 and then again after a recurrence in 2008. I was treated for breast cancer in 2006. I am currently undergoing treatment for bladder cancer that was diagnosed in 2016. I have routine follow-up appointments scheduled with my urologist and oncologist next week, and I am nervous about those appointments. I have a copy of the x-ray to show them. I am worried that one of my cancers has recurred and metastisized to the bone.

Hello Straussu
You have certainly been through a lot! I don't know if you've rec'd any diagnosis yet but you sound like one tough cookie and although I hope this is not a metastatic occurance, you'll be able to deal with this if you find out differently. I can not know what you are going through but I know what it's like to deal with being dianosed with cancer a second time(anal cancer) , but it was not metastatic and completely unrelated to the first (non-hodgkins lymphoma). Please lets us know how you are doing and hang in there.
Wishing you the best,
Chris

Skull base cancer
Hello, I hope by now you will have had a positive result you certainly have been battling cancer for a while, it is not easy I had breast cancer in 2004 and following surgery, radiotherapy and 5 years of hormone treatment remained clear for 13 years however the breast cancer has come back and spread to my liver, bones, and lungs and as if that was not bad enough they found it in my skull base which is rare enough and hardly gives any symptoms for a long time and then they all flair up as mine did it comes primarly from breast cancer followed by prostrate and lung cancers so I do pray this has not happpened to you but if it has you are very lucky to have found it at a very early stage which makes the treatment far more sucessful
I will be thinking of you
Best wishes
Judy
