New MRI/CAT Scan Results

A few weeks ago during my first visit with my new Oncologist, he told me that they spotted a lesion on my liver and he ordered an MRI of abdomen and lungs and a CAT scan of lungs.  MRI had dye and was completed this past Sunday.  I have been worried as sick about this and just what else they'll find.  He reported to me today that it wasn't definitive (UGH!).  Good news is that it hasn't grown at all since my first CAT Scan in November. He offered for me to wait 3 months and do another scan and they would know if it was growing.  If not, then likely not cancer and some type of blood spot or something.  Second option was for a biopsy, which I opted for.  I want to know ASAP, either way.  Just scheduled it for Monday, February 5h and I have a follow-up with him a week after that or so.  Also, they identified three little (largest 4mm) lung nodules.  He said they will monitor those as they are too little to biopsy and he said most people have these little nodules, especially living in a valley like the Ohio Valley.  He thought he could find similiar nodules if he pulled random folks in off the street.

So, I'm still worried but everything else looked good including my sole kidney now!  I am hanging hope on the fact that the liver lesion hasn't grown from November to January.  And prayer will continue to be incorporated in my daily routine.  Not just for me, but for all of us.  Thanks.

From what I understand . Lots

From what I understand . Lots of people have those small lung nodules.... Maybe granulomas that haven't calsified. My doctor told me the same thing.. He could scan everybody and 1 in 3 would have those small lung nodules.

    I had one

At my last scan, my doctor noted a nodule on my lung, but said it was calcified and not to worry.  She said these are very common.  But, I'm with you in scheduling a biopsy--I would have to know too.

    Good luck!

    I have stuff show up

I have stuff show up everywhere! Cysts on my remaining kidney. Cysts on my spleen and something on my pancreas they are keeping an eye on. Apparently another big cyst. Ugghhh. I know the waiting can be terrible. Hang in there and good luck!!
