Lung inflammation
Hi, just had a follow up scan on a lung nodule from which they have told me they don’t think it’s a met from rcc and think it’s inflammation! Obviously I’m relieved and am being forwarded to a lung specialist for his thoughts but just wondered if any one knows why inflammation on the lungs occur ?

No clue
But congrats on it not being a met! (Still waiting for my pathology from last week...)
Maybe the lung specialist can shed more light on what might have caused it.

Hopefully it's inflammation
This past scan I was told of scarring in lung that didn't appear on prior scans..was told it was no concern. Hopefully it will be a minor concern. Sending positive thoughts for the consult

Hi Jobie
As a former Respiratory Therapist I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. Inflammation can have many causes. Are you getting over a cold? Or any other infection? It can be caused by a trauma to the body, was your surgery recent?....I don't see when your surgery was on your bio. It could also be caused by allergens, for instance, if you're an asthmatic do you know what your triggers are?
Again, many causes, let's hope & pray for the best.
