    Lung Nodule

Iceman asked an important question. If it's 1 and it's really small, there's probably nothing to do. I've had some really small ones that have remained stable for years.

If it's your only one and it turns out to be a met, and it's operable, you could get it surgically removed. I've had friends that had that done. They can also zap it with radiation I believe nowadays (might be wrong about that). It depends on size and location, how long since your last tumor/treatment. If it's been over a year and this is your only met, my docs said they'd do surgery or radiation to remove it. However, if you've got more than one in multiple places, or it's not been long since your last one, then they'd probably go for a systemic treatment of some kind (a drug).

You really should be asking your RCC oncologist these kinds of questions. They will know your exact situation and give you better information. Hopefully you have a medical oncologist following you that has RCC experience. It's a fast changing field and better left to specialists to treat. I'd suggest sticking with someone that has experience treating metastatic RCC for your followups/consultations instead of being followed by someone is going to hand you off if it turns out to be metastatic cancer.

    Best wishes to you,

    Todd

    4mm lung nodule

    Jobie,

A little tiny thing present in club members and non club members alike. Unless it grows it is a nothing burger. A little early to worry about treatment.

    watch and wait.....

See my profile, I had two 2-3 mm lung mets double within 3 months and had them cut out and they turned out to be rcc mets. Ive had the each lung operated on removing mets, its no big deal 5-6 days in the hospital and your like new again. Just my opinion if you have to do something, get them cut out, stay off the cancer drugs so your quality of life remains great, good luck,
