Swelling
Up until this past week all had been fine. Now I wake up with a swollen face and hands. I have cleaned up my diet very well and try to watch salt intake. Do any of you stay away from restaurants? I only go for sushi or Pho Vietnamese soup. The soup is what did me in lastnight. I feel like my whole body is swollen. What do you or don't you eat? Also, is an herbal diuretic bad?

I love Pho and sushi but some
I love Pho and sushi but some of it can be very high in sodium. Especially the pho. So it's possibly a reaction to that. I would not take a diuretic with one kidney. Those meds stress the kidney and you don't want to do that. I generally stay away from fatty and fried foods, eat mostly veggies and fish, but if at friends' house for dinner I eat what's served.

I think you retained fluid
I think you retained fluid because you had pho and some pho can have as much as 3000 mgs of sodium. That's huge! Add in some sushi with which I imagine you also used soy sauce and I would imagine your sodium levels went through the roof.

Pho is favorite meal. It has
Pho is favorite meal. It has been in my diet also, but I have switched to vegan pho. The restaurant I go to says it is made with vegetable Broth. I can’t eat an entire bowl anymore i normally share it now. Im hoping switching to vegan pho reduces some of the sodium intake i need to learn how to make it myself so I can know exactly whats in it.
