Ethnic and Religious Sensitivty
My daughter teaches in a school in an area where a lot of students are from other cultures because the parents are employed with Intel, Nike, and other high tech industries. They have to educate everyone on the major holiday(s) for Christmas/Easter, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Kwanzaa, Chinese New Year, and the Hindu/Indian holiday; and also sent out a letter asking if there were other specific observations that should be included.
It reminds me of the Campbell's Soup commercial where two boys at a cafeteria table try to talk to the other...when one makes the sound of the Big Fur Ball from Stars Wars and the other says, "Wookie?" They communicated and then sat together.
So whatever you celebrate and whenever, enjoy hte week.
Hugs to all,

On Dec. 21, it was the 7th anniversary of when I got the diagnosis of RCC on my right kidney. Feb. 3, 2011, I had surgery to remove the tumor. Every scan since then has been clear. So...wishing everyone a wonderful new year, just like I've been able to live through for 7 years. I'm hoping I can share my good luck.
