Results and a blood clot
i only have the results because they called about the blood clot. I guess he has a clot in the catheter? I am guessing port, since thats the only thing he has in his body? Has anyone ever had this? His tumor shrank from 3.8 to 2.5 cm so now we see if he can have surgery. I will know more in the morning, blood thinners start tonight.

I haven't had this issue but
I haven't had this issue but they gave me blood thinners for 30 days after surgery as a preventative measure.
The tumor shrinkage is impressive. You have a liner decrease of a third but the volume decrease might be much higher if the other dimensions shrank by the same amounts.

Mike
are you an engineer? You remind me of my husband who is an engineer. He says the same things.
I am just hoping it's enough to do surgery. I think Avastin they give him is the cause of the blood clot. It's also raising his blood pressure.

Yup.
If something shrinks linearly by a third in three dimensions, then it shrinks by about 70% in volume.

That's great Ruth that hubby's tumor has shrunk and surgery is feasible.
I knew Mike has some kind of engineer background from his verbiage. LOL!
