Of course you are!
I am not the one sick my husband is but I know every test, every scan I am literally sick with worry, anxiety, stress you name it. For me not knowing seems worse than when we finally know and have a plan. I can tell you my husband has had surgery to remove a mass in his colon and he did very well with it. i know there is nothing I can say to ease your worry and I know its very scary. I hope on Monday you get the answers you need to help you feel better.

This is like the first time I
This is like the first time I got a PET scan. Prior to that I thought it was just the one tumor and that was it. When I went in they told me it was to check for other cancer that might be inside me. That meant they didn't know. For 30 minutes I sat alone in that room in dead silence waiting for the fluid to circulate thinking this was probably the end. I got lucky and there wasn't anything else but that was the worst half hour of my life. If you've had a PET/CT scan already then it's nearly 100% likely there won't be something else. MD Anderson is a top notch place but that doesn't mean where you were is less than sloppy.

I’ve had 4 ct scans Since July. I still envision them saying Wow they missed a lot. Maybe dumb but I’m horrified.

I remember many anxious days.
I remember many anxious days. I don’t know if any words can take away the worry. But i will say that there are many who fight and survive. Fighting this ugly disease is sort of like a marathon. You have to pace yourself and be determine. Take it one day at a time and focus on what is in your control.
When I really thought hard about what I could control, the ONE THING that stood out was that I controlled my attitude. How i dealt with the unknown was within my control. So that became my focus. To stay optimistic and to try and stay away from dark thinking. Love, Light, and best wishes to you my friend.

Dear ginrwill...my mother had
Dear ginrwill...my mother had colon cancer in her 70's. She had surgery initially to remove tumor and then had chemotherapy. She lived to be almost 91. Good luck with surgery...I'm sure all will go well...allow yourself time to heal and recover...will probably take at least 6 wks...take care and let us know how things go.
