medicine
Hi,
I have been diagnosed with cancer and the doctor is willing to prescribe an Opiate but I read online of people having tolerance to Opiates.
So I ask you if you are on Opiate medicine, do you notice any tolerance to it?. Does it still work?. And where you taking it every day.
Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I've been prescribed them, but I don't like the way they make me feel. I guess if the pain is overwhelming or limiting your overall enjoyment of life, take the pill. Just be aware that they are highly addictive.
I am sorry, I did not add that. Yes, I am prescribed them too, but I only take them if I absolutly have to. We have enough on our plate without adding addiction to it. In the beginning of my treatment when the surgery and the pain was so bad, I took them and even though they helped my pain, I was miserable with the side effects of them. I never got addicted because I was scared of just that. You have to take them sometimes, but be responsiable about it.
Hugs,
Annie
