New therapies
This is a link for an article that appeared in a newsletter from Dana Farber's Susan F. Smith Center for Women's Cancers:
I was most interested in the information that appeared toward the end of the article about trials of new drugs for treatment of uterine cancer which I was very happy to see.
The rest of the article dealt with surgical techniques and a bit about preventative counseling women with Lynch syndrome.
I have one little beef with the article and that was the emphasis on uterine/endometrial cancer most often being cured by surgery alone. That's true, however I feel that an emphasis on this message gives the impression that uterine cancer is always highly curable and takes away from launching more efforts to fund and research treatments for those of us on this board with highly aggressive and difficult to treat forms such as papillary serous, carcinosarcoma/MMMT, clear cell, etc. Like I said just a little beef of mine. But otherwise, I loved seeing the efforts to research new treatments.
