Rectal Cancer with skip metastasis
Is there anyone out there that has had colorectal cancer with no regional cancer in Lymph nodes but cancer is non regional nodes such as the iliac chain? It is called skip metastasis as there is no cancer in any nodes near the primary tumor in the colon or rectum

I guess that’s what happened to me. I had none in the regional lymph nodes butt a couple of months later lymph node enlargement showed up in the pelvic lymph nodes. I took xeloda and next scan showed no enlarged lymph nodes and Ned since.

Sorry
So sorry that you had to join our group. I've not heard of it, but sometimes after surgery some cells can get loose and then travel to other parts of the body or through the blood stream. A lot of times they do adjuvant chemo so that it acts as a "mop up" chemo to get all those cells that escaped. Wishing you well and please know that we have a lot of support on this group. Welcome and know that you can come here and ask any questions you need.
