help on my results please? does anything stand out to you?
hello,
i have a cyst in both my liver and kidney. the doctor has been keeping an eye on my kidney cysts since 2015. this year it grew .2 cm so now it's 2 cm in size. they were a little worried that it looked slightly complexed. i don't have any symptoms to worry about. but i'm just worried about what they said and how they're now refering me to a urologist. i was able to get an appointment right away and i see them tomorrow. do i need to worry? what should i expect? the results are below. does anything jump out? thank you in advance!
FINDINGS:
Right kidney: measures 11.4 cm in long axis. renal parenchymal atrophy is noted. a couple of renal cysts, largest measuring 2cm with a mildly complex appearance including at least one internal septation and a focus of hyper echogenicity peripherally likely representing calfication. this cyst previously measured 1.9 cmand is not appreciably changed in morphology.
Left kidney: measures 10.3 cm in long axis renal parenchymal atrophy is noted. a 6mm focus of hyperchogenicity in the lower pole collecting system is compatible with a nephrolith. a 1.5 cm relatively simple appearing cyst at the lower pole is not appreciable changed.
Bladder: mild circumferential bladder wall thickening is similar and may be partially related to underdistention.
Impression: stable complex bilateral renal cysts with the lesion on the right being nildly complex and measuring up to 2cm.
bilateral renal parenchymal atrophy.
nonobstructive 6 mm left nephrolith.

Very Treatable so don’t panic
Looks like a slight change to the largest cyst so they will come up with a treatment plan and you will be back with thone beautiful babies before you know it
Have all these cysts been there since 2015 with no additional changes to them or are you watching new ones appear

Yes same cysts
Yes the doctor said it’s the same cysts. they Haven’t mentioned of any new ones. they still have to check with my liver cyst. I’m beyond scared. Praying it is nothing. I have 4 kids and can’t even imagine how I will react to any bad news. Just praying & praying. Thank you both for responding. So nervous about my appointment this morning.

Based on what the report says
Based on what the report says, I won't even concern about it. Your cyst seems to fall between Bosniak Category I to II with a septa and small bit of calcification. Most people get benign cyst and just monitor it as the doctor suggested.

Can only speak for myself
My complex cyst was malignant when found, but slightly larger than yours. You may consider seeing a urological oncologist, depending on what you're told today. The good news is that it's very small.
Praying for you,
Donna~
