got itNana b said:No problem. I've been in
No problem. I've been in here since Nov 2008, but I left the group and cane back. Past the 5 year mark and back on Chemo, I gave the terrible rash we have been discussing with some others on the sane chemo.
Understand. Thanks.
Yeah, just seeing the other post you are refering to. I have missed that one so it makes all sense now...

I survived 12 rounds of Erbitux and Folfiri
You can too!!! Below are three posts from my blog dealing with Erbitux (including pictures). You might get a laugh on the third post. Laughing is good. :-) If you read a few posts inbetween these you will see the success I experienced with Erbitux. It basically kicked the crap out of the tumors in my liver, and brought my CEA down to under 1. I've been off it for a while now and the rash is nearly gone. A few blemishes on my body remain but the face is virtually clear!

erbitux rash means it's working?menright said:Good Rash
Thanks for the encouragement. I have heard a similar storyline about the Rash being a strong indicator of the efficacy of Erbitux.
I guess I am getting great treatment......this rash is driving me nuts.
MikeMy Dr. said that the rash was "means the meds are working". I told her I thought that was a bunch of bull and it's only a Dr.'s way of getting patients to accept the rash. She countered by saying there is scientific proof to support the rash mean it's working and the wost it is the better it's working. I stil don't buy it.
omy.

If you could, please start a new thread. This one was started in 2009.
For what it's worth, my opinion is that somewhere in the middle is the truth (whatever truth means!). Some patients get the rash but not all of them. As far as my experience goes, the severity of the rash doesn't indicate how effective the meds are, or aren't. The rash is what it is, a rash. Erbitux doesn't help everyone but it helped me...
