Paranoia Question
I'm halfway through my radiation. Today they did the scan they always do before the radiation and I waited at least 15 minutes before they went ahead with the radiation. Afterwards the tech told me there was a bubble they had to check out, that I was fine. A tech wouldn't tell me I wasn't fine. The dr. would do that after the radiologist read the scan?? Am I being paranoid. Paranoia is a terrible thing!!

deam Amatullah, it is
deam Amatullah, it is completely understandable to wonder what it was and what it meant. I would suggest calling the doctor's office and asking what it was. It is hard to not to think everything is 'something'. Try to take a breath. It is all a lot.

Thanks!
I questioned them today and they said something about the large intestine not quite lining up the way it normally does, due to an air pocket that moved part of my anatomy into the radiation field that isn't normallly there and they had to consult with the oncologist before they radiated me. I did find out this kind of pre-radiation scan doesn't tell them anything about tumors or cancer. It's just the "template" so they radiate the same spot every time. Cancer has definitely given me a touch of hyper-vigilence, lol. Thanks again for talking me down a bit. I'm so glad it's Friday and I don't have to go to oncology for 2 whole days. I recognize a lot more silver linings now!
